Thomas Harris (1791-1863)

Thomas Harris was born at Moreton-Corbet in Shropshire.

He entered the itinerancy in 1813 on the recommendation of the Shrewsbury circuit and exercised a circuit ministry principally in the Midlands and North of England until superannuation in 1857.

He retired to Bristol North and his health had been failing for some time before he died in Birmingham in November 1862.

Harris had served for twenty years as the secretary of the Annuitants Society and in the circuit ministry had reached the position of District Chairman.
