Philip Garrett (1769-1843)

Philip Garrett was born in Douglas on the Isle of Man.

He entered the itinerancy in 1799 and exercised an active circuit ministry in Scotland and England until shortly before his death which occurred following a severe illness in Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire.

In addition to his ministerial prowess, Garrett was also accomplished in the natural sciences.
