John Eyton (1779-1823)

John Eyton was the son of Thomas Eyton, gent., of Wellington, Shropshire. He was educated at Rugby School and St John's College Cambridge. Eyton was Vicar of Wellington and Eyton between 1802 and 1823, and was a friend of Mary Fletcher and her companion Mary Tooth. He was appointed a trustee of Madeley Wood Methodist Chapel in 1807.

Eyton published a book of sermons.
