James Etchells (1779-1863)

James Etchells was born in London. He was introduced to Methodism through a workman employed by Etchell's father. Despite family opposition, Etchells joined the society and entered the ministry in 1803. His circuit ministry was spent in England and Wales. He retired to the Channel Islands in 1844 and died on the island of Jersey on January 4 1863.
