Elizabeth/Betty Duchesne (d.1776)

Elizabeth/Betty Duchesne was the granddaughter of Claude Duchesne, a French Huguenot and famous clockmaker. A clock made by Claude Duchesne was given to John Wesley and can still be seen in John Wesley's House in City Road, London.

Betty Duchesne was a personal friend of Charles and Sarah Wesley, and left bequests to the family in her will.
