Richard Cooper (1782-1848)

Richard Cooper was born at Woodend in Staffordshire. He joined the Wesleyan Methodists at the age of twenty and became a local preacher soon after. In 1814 he was ordained and worked as a circuit minister, mainly in the Midlands and the South of England until poor health forced him into retirement in 1846.
