Henry Legge Church (1817-93)

Henry Legge Church was born in London of Methodist parents. He was converted as a teenager and entered the Wesleyan ministry in 1845 after training at Didsbury College. Church exercised an active circuit ministry until ill health compelled him to become a supernumary in 1881. He spent his remaining years in Sydenham.
