John Chapple (1812-96)

John Chapple was born in Witheridge, Devon, and entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1834. He volunteered for missionary work in the United States and spent six years in Ohio, before joining the Canadian ministry. He served as President of the Canadian Conference in 1858.
