John Burdsall (1775-1861)

John Burdsall was born in York, the son of the preacher Richard Burdsall. He was converted at an early age and entered the Wesleyan itinerancy in 1796. His active ministry lasted until poor health forced him to superannuate in 1837. Burdsall's last years were spent in his native city where he established a theological class for local preachers.
