Edward Batty (1783-1849)

Edward Batty was born in Liverpool and was converted asa young man. He spent some time as a local preacher before entering the Wesleyan ministry in 1808. He exercised an active circuit ministry until forced into superannuation by ill health in 1848. He settled on the island of Guernsey and died quite suddenly while attending the 1849 Conference.
