George Batt (1809-72)

George Batt was born at Burrington in Devon. He was converted in 1831 by the Wesleyan Methodist minister John Smith and entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1837. After over thirty years service he died at Wellington in Somerset. His son John Herridge Batt was President of Conference in 1887.
