Thomas Ashton (1768-1854)

Thomas Ashton was born in London. Raised by devout parents, he was converted at the age of eighteen and received his first class ticket from John Wesley himself. Ashton entered the itinerancy in 1801 and worked as a circuit minister in England and Wales until superannuation in 1837. He spent his retirement in Bath.
