Benjamin Slack (1809-68)

Benjamin Slack was born in Hull, the son of the Methodist preacher John Slack (d.1833). He entered the Wesleyan ministry in 1829 and exercised an active circuit ministry for thirty-nine years. He was appointed by the Conference of 1867 to the Todmorden Circuit in Lancashire, but his health gave way and he died shortly after.
