Anne Moore (1757-1813)

Anne Moore was the first wife of the prominent Wesleyan minister Henry Moore. Her maiden name was Young and she came from a respectable family of the Irish town of Coleraine. With her sister Isabella she was a devout member of the Wesleyan society and was referred to approvingly by John Wesley in his journal entry for 7 June 1778. She married Moore in 1779 and shared his itinerant ministry despite poor health. She died in London and was buried at City Road Chapel.
