Henry Jackson (1666-1766)
Henry Jackson was one of the first Methodist converts in Newcastle. In 1745 he was named as one of the original trustees of the Newcastle Orphan House. His occupation was given on the deed as that of weaver.
Jackson lived to a great age. John Wesley recorded visiting Jackson in 1764 and 1765 (Wesley's Journal).
