William Homer (1784-1861)
William Homer was born at Dudley in the Midlands, the son of the Mayor. He was converted under the ministry of Revd. Booker, Vicar of Dudley, and a year later joined the Methodists.
After working as a local preacher, he was accepted for the ministry in 1807 and served in England and the Isle of Man until superannuation in 1843. He spent his retirement in Dudley and then Hungerford where he died.
