Charles Haydon (1804-77)
Charles Haydon was born in London.
He was partly educated at a Methodist Sunday school and while still in his teens, worked as a Sunday school teacher and prayer-leader.
He entered the Wesleyan ministry in 1825 and exercised an active circuit ministry until a short time before his death when he was compelled to retire through ill health.
He died in Nottingham.
