Frederick Griffiths (1808-73)

Frederick Griffiths was born in Broadway, Worcestershire.

He had first attended a Methodist meeting in order to disrupt the proceedings, but was converted instead. Griffiths soon became a local preacher and spoke with such passion, that he was named the "young madman".

Griffiths entered the itinerancy in 1836 and exercised an active circuit ministry in England and Wales for the rest of his life.
