Elizabeth Collinson (1747-1825)

Elizabeth Collinson was born in Bath, Somerset. Her parents were devout Methodists and her father Thomas Ball was a personal friend of John Wesley. At an early age she married the Methodist John Collinson, a prosperous tinman and ironmonger of Lombard Street, London, and the couple often provided hospitality to visiting preachers.

Collinson is buried with her husband in a family vault at City Road Chapel.
