Samuel Butcher (fl.1760)

Samuel Butcher was a leather seller of Crucifix Lane, Bermondsey, London. A staunch Methodist, Butcher was a friend of the Wesley brothers and contributed generously to the construction of a Methodist Chapel in the Southwark district of London during the early 1760s.
