John Broadbent (1751-95)
John Broadbent was born in Leeds and entered the itinerancy in 1772. Despite a weak constitution, he exercised an active circuit ministry until he superannuated in 1792. He periodically travelled with Wesley during the 1780s and was appointed to the Legal Hundred. Broadbent was also present at Wesley's deathbed.
Broadbent retired to Bath in Somerset and died there after a long illness.
