Manchester Masonic Research Collection

This collection, comprising the combined libraries of the Provincial Grand Lodge of East Lancashire and the Manchester Association of Masonic Research, was received on deposit in 2004.

It constitutes one of the most significant libraries in Britain relating to the history of freemasonry.

The collection is predominantly English, with items dating from the eighteenth century to the late twentieth.

There is an extensive set of individual lodge histories, plus a number of runs of masonic periodicals, calendars and yearbooks.

The collection also contains a large number of pamphlets and other ephemeral items including certificates and programmes.
