View and discuss a sequence of books from the Library’s historic collections. Explore texts from Caxton, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Johnson and others to illustrate developments in English.

Maximum group size is 15.

Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
Suitable for: Any

Available weeks commencing 26 November 2018, 3 December 2018, 1 July 2019 and 8 July 2019.

Join us to have a go at making a full sewn book, exploring the techniques binders used put together the books that sit on the Library shelves.

This is one of our most popular sessions and offers a real sense of achievement for pupils who will take away a hardback book they have created.
