Main Library

The areas covered by the textme service in the Main Library are Blue 2, Blue 3 and the Muriel Stott Centre.

If you are having difficulty finding a book on Blue 2 or Blue 3 you can text for assistance.

We can also provide assistance with basic IT printing queries such as no paper in the printer or the toner needs replacing.

Posters, with the telephone number and outlining the service offered, are displayed in the areas of the Main Library where textme is in operation.

Textme is available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

We welcome your feedback on this service, either verbally to a member of staff or via our feedback and enquiries.

Alan Gilbert Learning Commons

A textme scheme has been introduced at the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons which mirrors the one already running in the Main Library.

If you are having difficulty with equipment, need to report a problem with noise or bad behaviour and any other problems you can use the textme service.

Digital Signs, with the telephone number and outlining the service offered, are displayed on the general information screens in the Learning Commons.

Textme is available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 9pm, and Saturday to Sunday between 9am and 5pm.
