Postal loans: DELIVER
About Deliver
DELIVER is a postal loans service offered by The John Rylands Library Document Supply. The service aims to send library materials to students and staff of The University of Manchester when it is not possible, or convenient, to call into the library in person.
What can I request?
- Photocopies of journal articles or book chapters, which you can keep. We will supply these to you from the Library's own stock or via the British Library
- Book loans from the Library's stock, which must be returned to the Library by you, and at your own cost
If you live in the UK, we can also provide you with loans of books which are not held by us, but which are available from the British Library Document Supply Centre.
Using Deliver
Request and pay
To use this service option, please print off and complete a Deliver request form, or log in to My Manchester and submit a request clearly stating that your request is for the Deliver Service.
There is a charge of £5.00 (students and staff of The University of Manchester only) and payment can be made by credit card or by e-payments using My Manchester.
Forms can be sent by post to the address below. We aim to post your requested items as soon as possible. If we cannot satisfy your request, or if we require further information, we will contact you.

Request and charge to your school
Your School might choose to pay for your Deliver requests directly.
If you wish to check whether your School operates such a scheme, please ask your School Administrator.
If your course is registered with the Deliver Service, your School Administrator should be able to provide you with the necessary code details. Please add this code when you complete a Deliver request form.
