Staff and students of the University of Manchester
Current staff and students of The University of Manchester automatically become members of The John Rylands University Library. Your university ID card allows you full access to the resources available and to all the libraries within the JRUL network.
Your university ID card is also your library card and you will need it to enter and exit the library and to borrow books . This card can also be encoded for photocopying. Staff at either the Customer Services Desk or the Service Point can encode the card for you.
There are no restrictions on the types of books that can be borrowed, unless they are reference items.
You can use Document Supply services and have access to the full range of resources available.
As a student or member of staff at the University of Manchester you are also entitled to use other libraries within the UK.
