The University of Manchester Library are pleased to offer membership schemes for our NHS and health professional colleagues.

NHS membership

The University of Manchester Library, in cooperation with the NW NHS Health Care Libraries Unit, provides a membership scheme open to all NHS employees within the North West. The  NHS membership scheme is available free of charge to any member of the North West NHS workforce on production of their NHS identification card.

Manchester Medical Society

Fellows of the Manchester Medical Society are entitled to use The University of Manchester Library. Fellows can loan up to 50 books and have reference access to periodicals. Self service photocopying facilities, document supply services and inter library loan requests are also available at a reasonable cost.

In addition to current medical books and periodicals a major reference collection including research and medical directories and printed abstracts and indexes are available. Material in related scientific or social disciplines are also available to Fellows.
