Members of the SCONUL Access Scheme
Staff, research postgraduates, full time taught postgraduates, part-time, distance learning and placement students at institutions in the SCONUL Access scheme may apply to use The University of Manchester Library and borrow books (except full time undergraduates).
All staff and students within the Sconul Access Scheme may access any of The University of Manchester Library sites with the exception of the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons and the Eddie Davies Library in the Manchester Business School. Contact the Eddie Davies Library for further details.
SCONUL Access is available by bands of use.
|Full time Undergraduates||R||You may apply, at your home site Library, for access via the SCONUL Access scheme. You will have reference access only.|

In order to access The University of Manchester Library through the SCONUL Access Scheme, you will need to bring a SCONUL Access card or a printed copy of your SCONUL Access email as well as your university ID card.
If you are applying by post, please ensure that photocopies of both sides of your Sconul Access card and of your university ID are enclosed, otherwise there may be a delay in processing your application.
SCONUL users who are entitled to borrow books, can loan four books for four weeks (High Demand books are excluded)
To manage your Library account online you will need to sign up for a username and password.
You cannot use the Document Supply service but do have access to some electronic resources.
