Members of the SCONUL Access Scheme

Staff, research postgraduates, full time taught postgraduates, part-time, distance learning and placement students at institutions in the SCONUL Access scheme may apply to use The John Rylands University Library and borrow books (except full time undergraduates).

All staff and students within the Sconul Access Scheme may access any of the JRUL sites with the exception of the Eddie Davies Library in the Manchester Business School. Contact the Eddie Davies Library for further details.

SCONUL Access  is available by bands of use.

In order to access the John Rylands University Library through the SCONUL Access Scheme, you will need to bring your library ID card and a SCONUL Access card, validated by your home library. 

If you are applying by post, please ensure that photocopies of both sides of your Sconul Access card and of your university ID are enclosed, otherwise there may be a delay in processing your application.

SCONUL users who are entitled to borrow books, can loan four books for four weeks (High Demand and 7 Day Loans are excluded)

You cannot use the Document Supply service but do have access to some electronic resources.
