Computer facilities and other equipment
Disabled users are given priority in the use of computers B1 to B8 on Blue Area Floor 1. IT support staff at the Information Desk on this floor can provide assistance in the use of these facilities.
Resources including the Library catalogue, databases, word-processing software, courseware and email can all be accessed from computer clisters and individual networked PCs on campus and in Halls of Residence. In addition, a range of bibliographic databases and electronic journals can be accessed remotely using usernames and passwords which can be obtained from the Information Desk on Blue Area Floor 1.
Additional services can be accessed remotely using the Manchester Computing Dial-up Service.
