How to use the Library

You will need a valid ID card to access The University of Manchester Library so please remember to carry your card with you.

If you are a new student you will be offered a Library induction at the start of your course, which will provide the essential information you need to get started with your studies.

Help is also on hand throughout the year from Customer Services and Research and Learning Support staff.

Out of hours, the Service Desk is operated by Northumbria University. Details supplied during the course of managing your request will be stored and reported back to The University of Manchester who will offer further assistance, if required.
