Continue using the Library as a graduate

Students graduating

We’ll be sad to see you go – but this doesn’t have to be the end!

You’ve done it! Congratulations to all this year’s summer graduates.

Make sure to come and see us before you go. Take a few selfies, show your family your favourite spot for pulling an all-nighter (studying, of course). And don’t forget you can donate your old Textbooks to next year’s students.

Did you know you can keep on using the Library as an alumnus of The University of Manchester? The Library works closely with the Division of Development and Alumni Relations to keep giving you a quality library service.

You can now access a range of the Library’s e-resources from wherever you are in the world. Just log in to YourManchester to get access to fantastic databases like JSTOR and SAGE.

You can also access the Library on campus, free of charge, and borrow up to 15 books. As well as physical books and study spaces, you can access even more e-resources on our dedicated walk-in access PCs.

To apply for membership you will need to provide either:

  • A copy of your degree certificate
  • Your Alumni Association card
  • A form from the Alumni office

You can obtain a form from the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, room 1.033 in the John Owens building.

Membership applications can be made in person at the Main and Precinct libraries or via Library Help.
